Neuroinhibitors
Botox®, Dysport, etc.

Since its approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2002 for treatment of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, the use of Botox injections has soared in popularity.    Botox works by blocking the chemical that creates wrinkle-causing muscle contractions.  It’s most frequently used in the upper 1/3 of the face to remove wrinkles from the forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows and crow’s feet at the outside corners of the eyes.  We also use it for some of our patients who experience severe headaches.
